Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Websites On Us website or apply for a website build, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Websites On Us is a trading name of Redirect Online LTD (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
- Company: Redirect Online LTD
- Trading name: Websites On Us
- Registered company number: SC734751

What we collect
We only collect what we need to design, discuss and deliver your website:
- Application details: the type of site you want, your business name, your name, email address and mobile number.
- Website details you send us later: business description, services, opening hours, brand colours, and any logos, images or documents you upload.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website and we do not knowingly collect special category data or data about children.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your application and build your website — necessary for entering into or performing a contract with you.
- To send service emails such as your confirmation, approval and reminder messages about completing your details — contract and legitimate interests.
- To measure marketing performance using analytics and advertising tools — consent, given through our cookie banner.
- To keep business, tax and legal records — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
Cookies and marketing tools
Essential cookies keep the site working. Where you consent, we use the Meta pixel and equivalent server-side measurement to understand which adverts lead to enquiries. Where contact information is used for measurement it is irreversibly hashed before it is sent. You can withdraw or change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including our website hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and our advertising measurement provider. We may also share data with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and application data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for the duration of the service and for six years afterwards to meet accounting and legal obligations. Uploaded files are stored privately and removed on request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, ask for data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is our basis. Email dominik@websitesonus.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Applications and uploads are stored in access-controlled systems. Files are held in private storage and are only reachable through short-lived, signed links that we generate for authorised use.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
